What are Land Trusts
Land trusts are charitable organizations focused on stewarding, protecting, and restoring wild places where nature can thrive!
Land trusts take direct action to preserve our natural spaces by acquiring properties and protecting them for present and future generations.
Through the help of generous donors and land owners, land trusts have been able to protect over 80,000 acres of ecologically significant lands in Ontario, and this number grows every year.
And you can visit many of these gorgeous nature reserves! These special places are home to a diversity of habitats and wildlife, including many sensitive Species at Risk. Our member land trusts in Ontario invite you to connect with nature and support the protection of these lands…forever!
